Nathan Drake is the main character, who you control for the entirety of the gameplay, be it on foot or in a vehicle.

Move character		Move the player character around.
Move camera		Move the camera around.
Shoulder swap		Adjust aiming between left and right shoulders.
Look mode	(hold) +	Enter look mode.
Interact / pick up		Interact with, pick up objects.
Camera reset		Reset the camera
Weapon select	, , and	Switch between currently equipped weapons.
Reload	/	Reload current weapon.
Take cover		Take cover behind objects.
Fire, blind fire		Fire weapon, blind fire from cover.
Lean out and fire	(hold) +	Lean out and fire weapon while taking cover.
Manual aim	(hold) +	Aim weapon manually.
Enter melee combat		Perform a melee attack when close to an enemy.
Gunslinger Combo	, ,	Perform a Gunslinger Combo when close to an enemy.
Steel Fist Combo	,	Perform a Steel Fist Combo when close to an enemy.
Stealth kill	after getting close behind an enemy.	Perform a stealth kill.
Run and gun	+	Fire while running.
Roll		Roll while moving any direction or between areas of cover.
Jump / climb		Jump or climb.
Drop, grab ledge		Drop when standing over a ledge, grab a lower ledge after dropping down.
Grenade arc	(hold) + SIXAXIS wireless controller	Aim grenade.
Throw grenade	(hold) + + SIXAXIS wireless controller	Throw grenade.
Swim		Swim in any direction.
Marco Polo's journal	(when icon appears)	Access Marco Polo's journal.
Pause		Pause game.
