The China Lake Grenade Launcher, or China Lake GL, is a heavy weapon featured in A Thief's End and The Lost Legacy. The China Lake is a pump-action grenade launcher. It can hold up to four rounds. The aiming reticule is similar to the throwing arc of an ordinary grenade. It is handy at eliminating large groups of enemies. The China Lake is first found in Chapter 10. As it's a heavy weapon, it is quite rare. It is normally only found on armored soldiers, and enemies that carry grenade ammunition on their armor.
Unlike the similar M32 - Hammer, the China Lake's reload time is considerably slower; in some cases, the moment it's bought and fired, a player may find themselves loading it with ammunition.
Multiplayer[]
The China Lake has very high damage, medium range, and a slow rate of fire. It is best used mid-range.As it is a heavy weapon it has no modifications. It takes one to two shots to down a target. One to incapacitate, and the other to put them down-but-not-yet-out. The China Lake is not a viable weapon at close range, as the explosive radius could knock you down and hurt you severely. The rounds are strong enough to destroy small pillars, which can collapse onto other players.

Scoring 10 kills with the China Lake GL within 60 seconds will unlock the bronze trophy Defeat 10 in 60 -- China Lake GL.

The China Lake is based on an amalgamation of the real China Lake Launcher and the Milkor MGL Mk 1S.
