End of the Line is the ninth and final chapter of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.
Plot[]
Chloe, Nadine, and Sam race towards the train and face opposition from Asav's insurgents on motorbikes along the way, but manage to hold them off until the jeep gets close enough alongside the train for Chloe and Nadine to jump on, leaving Sam to drive.
On the train, Chloe asks about the bomb's location, and Nadine states that its near the engine room. They navigate through the train, encountering and defeating more of Asav's men in each car. As they progress, 4x4s and motorbikes intercept the train. Hoping in and out of jeeps, Chloe and Nadine maneuver through inaccessible parts of the train, engaging additional enemies along the way. As they progress, they encounter a truck mounted with a turret. Nadine suggests using their ropes to board the truck, which they successfully do. Chloe eliminates the gunman and gains control of the turret, eliminating more enemies. The resulting explosion causes a few cars to detach, while they return to the train as the truck is engulfed in flames.
Continuing, they reach the car with the bomb but are unable to disarm it. They decide to proceed to the front of the train in an attempt to stop it. However, upon arrival, they find that all entrances to the engine room have been welded shut. Out of ideas, Nadine suddenly spots a switch house nearby and realizes it can divert the train off course, away from the city. Chloe boards an enemy jeep and races towards the switch house whilst being pursued by more Asav's men, reuniting with Sam along the way.
Arriving at the switch house, Chloe and Sam engage and neutralize additional enemies. In a race against time, they manage to activate the switch motor just as the train carrying the bomb passes by, with Nadine fending off more adversaries atop the moving train. Chloe decides to go after Nadine, but Sam suggests leaving her behind since she "seems pretty capable." Chloe disagrees, and Sam clarifies that he was just presenting an option. However, before further discussion, another truck carrying Asav's forces arrives. Sam volunteers to hold them off while Chloe proceeds with the mission to rescue Nadine.
Chloe pursues the train and crashes her jeep into its side, briefly losing consciousness but quickly recovering. She notices a broken bridge in the distance and boards the train before the jeep falls off. However, Asav appears and captures Chloe, throwing her next to Nadine. Tired of their actions, Asav engages in a fist fight against the two, taunting them throughout. Asav knocks down Chloe, and Nadine fights back against him. Asav kicks Nadine off the railing, leaving Chloe vulnerable. Despite Nadine's attempt to intervene, Asav overpowers Chloe, nearly strangling her. Nadine tries to climb back to help but is kicked away by Asav, who ultimately throws Chloe off the side of the train. Chloe swiftly ascends back onto the train, maneuvering around obstacles, and surprises Asav by leaping onto him from her rope, causing the roof to collapse. They crash into the bomb room where the fight ensues. Chloe and Nadine overpower Asav, causing him to stumble back and inadvertently hit the bomb, leading it to slide and crush his foot, leaving him trapped. Asav futilely claims their efforts are in vain, but Chloe reminds him of his own words, quoting "progress demands sacrifice." Asav insults Chloe, calling her a "smug little shit," before she and Nadine make their escape. Eventually, the train reaches the broken bridge, prompting Chloe and Nadine to hastily attempt their escape as each car teeters and falls. Chloe throws her rope in time, allowing Nadine to jump onto her. The train plummets and explodes, resulting in Asav's demise.
Hanging on for dear life, Chloe and Nadine spot Sam atop and he helps them climb back up. They rest, watching the city they just saved in the distance. Chloe then asks "what's next for Nadine Ross?" suggesting that she conquer the weapons trade, but Nadine replies that she's done with Shoreline and wants instead to give treasure hunting another go. Nadine then wants to know where Tusk of Ganesh is and Sam promptly shows it (not before joking that he "lost" it). He asks how much they'll get for it and Chloe states that they'll receive a "generous finder's fee" from the Ministry of Culture as she and Nadine bond. Sam laughs it off as a joke, but quickly realizes that she was being serious as the credits roll afterwards.
There is a midcredits sequence where Chloe, Nadine, Sam and Meenu share pizza while they listen to a song (which is the song used for the first half of the credits). Sam pleads that they sell the tusk instead to a private collector, but Meenu shushes him with a slice so that he won't "ruin the moment." Sam acquiseces and they all continue eating.
