The FAL[a] is an assault rifle in the Uncharted series. Unlike other assault rifles the FAL does not have a full-auto function, but instead fires in bursts of three. It is not particularly strong, but makes up for it with its accuracy and low recoil.
It is based on the FN FAL.
History[]
Among Thieves[]
The first FAL in Among Thieves was found lying next to a dead resistance soldier in the Nepalese city, at the start of "Urban Warfare". It was also a sporadically used weapon by Zoran Lazarević's soldiers who sometimes carried it within the city. Afterwards it was only available to be found within the chapters "Train-wrecked" and "Cat and Mouse".
Golden Abyss[]
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End[]
The gun is first found in "The Twelve Towers".
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy[]
The FAL is used by Asav's insurgents in the first few chapters before being replaced by the Mettler M-30.
Multiplayer[]
Among Thieves[]
In multiplayer, the FAL has numerous spawn points on most maps, which makes it widely available to use. Originally, the FAL was a 7-shot kill, equivalent to 3 bursts. Update 1.05 re-balances weapon damage for all guns, including FAL. The FAL is now a 5-shot kill, equal to 2 bursts. Update 1.06, adding hitbox attributes to players, means more bullets are needed if shots to legs/arms connect. The update also reduced the FAL's fire rate by 10%.
Medal and trophy[]
Scoring 70 kills with the FAL will unlock the medal, worth $10,000, and bronze trophy 70 Kills: FAL in Among Thieves. Among Thieves Remastered instead only requires 50 kills for the trophy, of the same type, 50 kills: FAL. Golden Abyss includes the same bronze trophy for 70 kills.
Notes[]
- ↑ FAL stands for Fusil Automatique Léger, French for Light Automatic Rifle
