The Hog Wild was Victor Sullivan's private Grumman G-21 Goose seaplane.
Sullivan rescued Nathan Drake and Elena Fisher in the plane when they were attacked by Eddy Raja's pirates off the coast of Panama. Elena used the plane to follow Nate and Sully to the Amazon Rainforest, but after finding Nate in more trouble with Gabriel Roman and Atoq Navarro, the two boarded the plane and headed for the lost island.
Upon approaching the island, Nate and Elena were forced to bail out of the plane when it came under anti-aircraft fire. The plane was subsequently destroyed. Nate found the wreckage surrounded by pirates when he went to retrieve the map he left on board.
Later on, Nate and Elena discovered a trap constructed from parts of the plane, which the Descendants had set up.
Other Appearances
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
In Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Multiplayer, in The Fort, halfway through a match the Hog Wild will be seen hitting the tower on The Fort, as it would have done after Nate jumped from it. This is purely an aesthetic effect and has no effect on gameplay, therefore it is not an environmental hazard.
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
In the very end of the game, Sully shows to Elena and Nate his new green plane, a reference to the similar Hog Wild in the first game.
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
The green plane from the third game appears again, this time acting as a means of transportation for Sam, Nate, and Sully when they travel to Scotland and Madagascar. Sully and Elena also use the plane to get to and from the island where Libertalia was located.
