A museum guard on patrol.
Museum guards are civilian enemies encountered only during "Breaking and Entering" in Among Thieves. They patrol and guard the many courtyards and balconies within the Istanbul Palace Museum. Museum guards all are of Turkish origin[a], with olive skin, and wear the standard museum uniform consisting of black trousers and white shirts. Some of them also wear a green beret, and they only carry a radio and flashlight.
They are easily dispatched by simple melee combos or stealth attacks, and generally lack the situational awareness to spot intruders sneaking around nearby. If they do spot an intruder they will radio in additional guards, which leads to mission failure for the player. Once the tranquilizer dart gun has been acquired they are even more easily dispatched. At the end of the chapter they will flood the museum grounds wielding laser-equipped Desert - 5 handguns, although they are slow in lining up a proper shot.
