The PM-9mm is a weapon in that appears in the Uncharted (comic), and in the game Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Uncharted: Golden Abyss during gameplay. It is the standard weapon in Drake's Fortune, and when starting a level from chapter select, you will always and only start with the PM-9mm (there are exceptions; such as if the plot has Drake wielding something else at that point, i.e. Chapter 22 - Showdown, where he only uses an M4 or SAS-12).

The gun will appear in cutscenes for the first half of the game, regardless of the pistol Drake has before the cutscene starts. Later in the game, Drake's main pistol will become the 92FS-9mm and this will appear in the later cutscenes.

It appears in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception in cutscenes. Cutter uses the it as his main weapon which Talbot takes and wields the weapon.

Trivia

  • The Makarov PM uses a Warsaw Pact variant of 9mm ammo, 9x18mm rounds, as opposed to the more common round in the west, the 9x19 parabellum rounds. The 9x18mm is generally considered less powerful due to a smaller gunpowder charge, and indeed, the gun in Uncharted is less powerful than the 92FS.
  • The gun does not appear in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, but it does appear on the cover art for the game (not the Japanese cover), which depicts Drake hanging off the train and dropping the gun in the process. However in the game, the gun Drake has at this point is the 92FS-9mm.
