The RPG - 7 is a rocket-propelled grenade launcher commonly featured in the Uncharted series. It is a shoulder-launched anti-tank weapon that is highly effective against personnel and vehicles. It must be reloaded after every shot and the player can only carry three rounds max. It has the blast radius of a grenade and kills most enemies with one direct hit, except for bosses.
History[]
Drake's Fortune[]
The RPG - 7 is only seen in "Ambushed" in Drake's Fortune, where one of Eddy Raja's pirates was firing it at Nate and Elena's boat, forcing them to abandon ship as it was about to explode.
Among Thieves[]
The first RPG - 7 in Among Thieves appeared in "Desperate Times", where Nate had to kill one of Zoran Lazarević's soldiers carrying the weapon atop a parked truck in the middle of a plaza in the Nepalese city. The weapon appeared in Lazarević's soldiers' hands several other times, such as "Siege", where Nate tried to warn Tenzin but didn't know the Tibetan word for RPG, and "The Monastery", where Nate killed an RPG soldier that subsequently destroyed the entire tower the soldier was in. Nate himself also had several times in which he could use the weapon, although primarily only from "Siege" and onwards.
Drake's Deception[]
In Drake's Deception the RPG - 7 was used by Katherine Marlowe's agents.
Golden Abyss[]
In Golden Abyss, it first appears in "I'm Telling You... It Was Drake..." when one of Jason Dante's mercenaries shoots an RPG - 7 at the floor that Drake is hanging from. It is usable in "There's No Turning Back", and "Getting My Hands Dirty".
Combat[]
The RPG - 7 is one of the strongest weapons in the game, which is balanced out by its high rarity (typically only available prior to very dangerous fights), low ammo capacity, and a relatively low grenade velocity. This is in part to also grant you the option to dodge the grenade. On enemies this matters less as they are not as likely to run around, although in either case firing at the ground is more effective when trying to ensure a hit, especially when attacking groups.
The RPG has high blindfire accuracy, as the grenade travels directly where the camera is pointed.
Multiplayer[]
On some maps in the multiplayer of Among Thieves it can be picked up at the start of the match, whereas on others it may only be found after an environmental hazard has been triggered. Rocket Man increases its max ammo capacity, but has no effect in RPG deathmatches. In Drake's Deception it stays largely the same, but has its own unique reticule, and the grenade's colors has changed to bronze instead of green.
In A Thief's End's multiplayer it has high damage, moderate accuracy recoil and a slow rate of fire. As this weapon is a heavy weapon, it has no modifications.
Medal and trophy[]
Scoring 30 kills with the RPG - 7 will unlock the medal, worth $10,000, and bronze trophy "30 Kills: RPG - 7" in both Among Thieves and Among Thieves Remastered. The same amount of kills will also unlock the bronze trophy of the same name in both Drake's Deception and Drake's Deception Remastered, as well as a bronze trophy in Golden Abyss.
