The Rossi Estate Thugs are a minor faction featured in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.

History[]

They are first seen by Nathan and Sam when they try to steal the Saint Dimas cross from the auction. But when they discover that the cross has been the stolen and the guards are looking for the thieves. But Nate, Sam and Sully manage to flee the auction and return to the hotel to investigate more about the treasure.

Traits[]

They are grumpy and vulgar types, they stress easily and protest too much. They are dressed in black suits and wear red neckties, and they are quiet. They are Italian speakers so for those who do not know Italian or Latin languages they do not know what exactly they are saying, as they do not even include subtitles while they are talking in the game mode. They are almost always armed with semi-automatic pistols, machine pistols, assault rifles or shotguns, they are practically least deadliest enemies of the game.

They are very weak in combat, taking a headshot or a couple of body shots to kill using a a firearm, they are also instantly killed when they're shot by a shotgun at close range. Their vulnerability is due to their lack of armor. they are also weak in hand-to-hand combat, taking 2 melee attacks to kill them, But they will attempt to grab Nate from behind in Crushing difficulty. The most dangerous type of thug is the sniper (who appears in Crushing only), due to the lethality of his weapon. The second deadliest are the shotgunners and riflemen, as they are the most numerous type of thugs and use shotguns, which can kill Nate if they get close to him (for the shotgunners), or assault rifles and hand grenades, which can kill Nate via their high rate of fire or explosive power respectively (for the riflemen). The weakest ones are the gunmen, due to the short range of their semi-automatic pistols and machine pistols, though if played on higher difficulties, the gunmen thugs have grenades like their riflemen counterparts.

Trivia[]

  • Due to the auction for the second St. Dismas cross being attended by mostly criminals, along with the thugs being criminals themselves, and the auction taking place in Italy, it is possible that Mrs. Rossi and the thugs are members of the several criminal organizations in the country, such as the Camorra, the 'Ndrangheta, the Nuova Mala del Brenta, the Sacra Corona Unita, the Sicilian Mafia, the Soceita Fogiana or the Stidda. Since the Rossi Estate appears to be located in the Italian region of Campania (where the Camorra is located), the Rossi's are most likely a Camorra family.
  • When Nate and Sam encounter them for the first time, the thugs are talking about betting on a football match, with one getting mad at the other for betting on the English football team. Later on, when the Drake brothers are sneaking in the ventilation system, the thugs can be seen watching said football match, and one of them complains about a lousy goalkeeper
  • The thugs are the 2nd group of enemies to be criminals, the first being the Hired thugs. They're also the 2nd group of enemies to wear suits, the first being Katherine Marlowe's agents. The thugs are the third enemy group to wield an assault rifle other than the AK-47, after Katherine Marlowe's agents and the Indian Ocean pirates.
