Cruise ship

The cruise liner as it appears in the official Uncharted 3 trailer.

The Seaward was a cruise ship that appears in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, owned by Rameses.

Overview[]

As a luxury cruise ship, it contains many amenities, including a swimming pool on its deck. Accessible through a revolving door from the deck is a large multi-story auditorium/ballroom, with a stage at one end, and a grand piano on a raised platform in the center. The room is lit by two enormous chandeliers which hang from either side of the ceiling. There is also a helicopter pad on the bow of the ship.

At some point during its career the cruise ship was captured by Rameses' pirates, although it is not known whether passengers and crew were aboard or not when the seizure happened, and it remained in pirate hands as it is presumed that the cruise line which owned the ship refused to pay ransom.

The pirate gang currently uses the prize as their headquarters. The once-sparkling cruise ship is now in a dilapidated state, with garbage and cargo scattered all about the ship's decks, which are stained with grime and wear. There are patches of hastily-applied metal sheets while barbed wire adorns its railings. Open surfaces of the ship are now stacked with CNO-MA freight containers.

Below decks is a large storage hold, containing a Rolls Royce Phantom VII sedan, cargo boxes, and CNO-MA-marked containers. There are also weapons stored there, including racks of missiles or rockets.

Voyage in Uncharted 3[]

The cruise ship is sailing in the Indian Ocean, just off the coast of Yemen, in the middle of a storm. Nathan Drake hijacks the pirates' boats to board The Seaward, where he kills most of the pirates en route to reaching the cargo hold where he believes that his friend Victor Sullivan is held.

Nathan discovers that Victor was never aboard the vessel and that it was a trap set by Rameses. Surrounded by pirates, Nathan escapes capture by detonating the stored weapons which blows a hole in the side of the ship. As water pours in, the ship lists heavily to one side, before capsizing, killing the rest of the pirates and Rameses.

Find the ring[]

In Colombia, a cruise ship is shown at a dock that looks similar to this one.
