Turtle Island is a major location in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. It is a large island in the Indian Ocean, near Madagascar.

This island first appeared in Chapter 1 as Nathan and Sam are heading towards the island by boat while being chased by Shoreline mercenaries. Its next appearance is in Chapter 12: At Sea when Nate climbs on top of Henry Avery’s statue and looks inside the telescope which points to Turtle Island.
Turtle Island is a very large island in the Indian Ocean east of Madagascar. Captain Henry Avery and the Founders settled there with their followers following Avery’s legendary Gunsway Heist in which he escaped with over $400,000,000 worth of treasure. They created Libertalia in an attempt to form a new, free society where pirates could enjoy the fruits of their labor. Development was widespread across the island. The crews of the founders, their families, and engineers hired by the founders built a plethora of structures such as houses, commercial and administrative buildings, statues and even elevators. They also built a second settlement (an entirely separate city) called New Devon which homed the founders of Libertalia. The Treasure of Libertalia was stored in the Treasury Building inside its vault up until it was relocated to Avery’s ship by Henry Avery and his men.
