The Wes - 44 is the standard magnum pistol revolver featured in the Uncharted series. Although it offers greater firepower than other handguns, this .44 Magnum is somewhat outclassed by the Desert - 5 in terms of rate of fire, reload time and accuracy.
History[]
Drake's Fortune[]
In Drake's Fortune the Wes - 44 was first seen being carried by Sully, although he did not actually use it until "Race to the Rescue". Nate himself could find the revolver in the chapters primarily taking place around the fortress, Drowned City, and the customs house. It was also sometimes used by some of Eddy Raja's pirates, as the brute pirates that normally use the Moss - 12 shotgun can sometimes be seen carrying the Wes - 44. Due to the guns' power and range they make a high priority target.
Among Thieves[]
In Among Thieves Sully again uses the Wes - 44 during the two chapters in Borneo. No one else is ever seen wielding the revolver, including Zoran Lazarević's soldiers. Due to this Nate was forced to search thoroughly for the gun, as it could be found lying around now and then; both in Borneo and the Nepalese city, although it stopped appearing altogether after "Train-wrecked".
The Wes - 44 is not available in the Among Thieves multiplayer, as Naughty Dog said that it was "unbalanced and too similar" to the Desert - 5 for the game.
Drake's Deception[]
The Wes - 44 was first seen in The Chateau chapter, though Nate has to manually search the Chateau for the revolver. It then appeared in Abducted, this time being used by one of Ramses' pirates.
Medals and trophies[]
Scoring 20 kills with the Wes - 44 will unlock the medal, worth 10 points, and bronze trophy "20 Kills: Wes - 44" in Drake's Fortune and Drake's Fortune Remastered. Scoring 30 kills with the Wes - 44 will unlock the medal, worth $10,000, and bronze trophy "30 Kills: Wes - 44" in Among Thieves and Among Thieves Remastered. Golden Abyss also features an identical bronze trophy.
